Men’s Health Test Panel
CBC, CMP, Lipids, HbA1c, CRP, TSH, Testosterone, SHBG, Urinalysis and Biometrics (Biometric measurements: height, weight, calculated Body Mass Index, blood pressure, and waist/hip circumference).
About this test panel: In addition to the tests included in the General Health Profile panel of tests, this panel also includes a test for Testosterone and Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG). Testosterone is the male hormone and SHBG binds to it and regulates Testosterone’s availability to cells. When SHBG levels are low, the body has more Testosterone available for use. When SHBG levels are high, the body has less Testosterone available to use. Not eating or drinking anything except water for 8-12 hours before you get tested is recommended. If you are not able to fast before the test, certain levels may be elevated. If you are taking medications, check with your healthcare provider to see whether you should take them before the test. When your results are ready, we will send them to you in a report. You will have the option to speak with an independent physician to discuss your results. If your results significantly differ from the expected ranges, you may receive an alert call to inform you.
